Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School

School Council

The School Council represents the voice of the children across the school. Each class from Year 1 upwards, have chosen children to represent them, giving them opportunities for their voices to be heard. We meet half termly, sometimes more, the children have different topics to discuss as a council, and to take back to their classes for further discussion and input. This includes all areas of the school including their learning, the school environment and some key events.

So far, this year we have met to discuss what play time equipment the children would like to have more of, following the highly successful colour run that was held in the Autumn term. At our next meeting, we will be discussing other ideas for fund-raising, and thinking ahead to Red Nose Day in March.

If you have any thoughts on what the school council might discuss, remember to let your class representatives know.

We look forward to sharing with you the results of our meetings this year!
