All about the Farm

In Reception we are learning about farms. We’ve made tractor pictures out of shapes to practice our cutting skills and used playdough to make carrots, eggs, birds and sheep. We are also practising our sharing and turn taking by playing games like snap!

Keeping Healthy in Reception

“In Reception we have been talking about why we eat vegetables and how to stay healthy. As part of this learning, we’ve planted beans. Jude’s beanstalk is the tallest so far – watch out, Jude! It’s catching you up! We also created super hero vegetables like Supertato – Lucas made a fabulous super carrot character.

We also designed a healthy fruit kebab, wrote a shopping list of ingredients, made our kebabs and then ate them. I think you can guess which part the children enjoyed the most! “This is the best day ever!” Florence declared.

Thank you to all parents who supported their children in their learning by coming and looking at their learning journeys and writing books.
