Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School

About Our School

Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School is situated within the Great Hollands area of South Bracknell. The school is situated about half a mile from local shops and three miles from the town centre.

Our school was built in 1977 as an open plan school and has undergone a series of extensions and refurbishments to develop the teaching and learning areas across the school. During the summer of 2014 further works have provided us with four classrooms now being used for Years 5 and 6. The small studio was refurbished during the summer of 2017 to create a purpose built classroom with modern equipment for Year 4. The accommodation within the school includes a large hall, a library and additional intervention space, in addition to the class teaching areas.

There is capacity within the school to accommodate 350 pupils from the Reception classes through to Year 6, with each year group admitting up to 50 pupils. We also have a popular Nursery Class, with up to 60 children attending a session, which offers flexible sessions as well the 30 hours extended funding (for eligible families) for children from the term following their 3rd birthday.

Our school grounds have been landscaped to provide a variety of hard and soft play opportunities in addition to the versatile Astroturf Football Pitch. Security fencing and entrances to the school have been developed in line with current government requirements. The Reception garden was updated and fitted with playturf during the Summer 2018.
