Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School

This Week 10.02.20

On Tuesday, Year 6 came together to present our Science projects. This half term, we have been exploring Charles Darwin and the Galapagos Islands. For the last two weeks, the children have worked in small groups, coming up with a question and finding the answers to it. Some children made PowerPoint presentations, some created models and some did both!

The questions which were answered were:

How were the Galapagos Islands formed?

What is evolution?

What did Charles Darwin discover?

What do we know about the Galapagos Islands?

What was the impact of evolution for the finch?

What are the Galapagos Islands and why are they famous?

How do different animals evolve?

What animals can be found on and around the Galapagos Islands?

What are the most interesting creatures on the Galapagos Islands?

How did the Galapagos Islands evolve?

What would happen if the volcanoes kept exploding?

What plants live on the Galapagos Islands?

How have animals evolved on the Galapagos Islands?

How have iguanas adapted to live on the Galapagos Islands?

How have the Galapagos Giant Tortoises adapted?
