Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School

This Week 13.01.2020

On Monday the 13th, we wrote a diary entry for a character in our book ‘Street Child’. On Tuesday the 14th, we were making predictions about what it was like being poor and rich in the Victorian times. Then, on Wednesday the 15th, we were describing a Victorian kitchen. On Thursday, we wrote what happened to the characters in the book after their mum left.

In maths, we were looking at addition, division, subtraction and multiplication of decimals. We also did lots of word problems to help us practice.

On Monday, in history, we were learning about the Victoria era and finding out about Queen Victoria. On Tuesday, we were learning how animals and plants adapt to survive in their environment. On Wednesday afternoon, we looked at William Morris in art and learnt some new words in French. RE was one of our subjects for Thursday afternoon and we were looking at the story of Moses and the 10 plagues. In PE on Thursday, we were learning to work well in teams.
